Megan leaves for the U.S.

It was so fun to have Megan here visiting!  I am going to miss her so much!  We put a lot of miles on our feet, the train, the plane and my car!  What a great time we had.  My favorite was visiting the little villages on our day trip out of Florence.  Her favorite was Florence.  I am waiting to see who the next visitor shall be!  Will it be you?  I hope so!!

Our last stop on the tour was to the hill top village of Monteriggioni.  It was quite small, but beautiful!

 

Siena, Italy

Our second stop on the tour was to the town of Siena. From Wikipedia - Siena is a city in Tuscany, Italy. It is the capital of the province of Siena. The historic centre of Siena has been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. It is one of the nation's most visited tourist attractions, with over 163,000 international arrivals in 2008. Siena is famous for its cuisine, art, museums, medieval cityscape and the Palio, a horse race held twice a year.
